500K Celebration!

When our founder first wondered at the message God gave her to love her neighbors through NBS2GO, she had hope. Could this be an avenue to encourage people to start and lead neighborhood Bible studies around the globe?

Each aspect of NBS2GO was birthed out of prayer, bathed in prayer, and continued to multiply through prayer – listening to the Lord and following His lead. The vision: Every community around the world transformed through the study of God’s word. The mission: Encourage and equip believers to begin and multiply Bible studies in their communities.

And so, we prayed and pondered. How? How could this vision become reality? What actions would enable the mission? We had no idea all God would do.

Fast forward to the fall of 2024 and NBS2GO surpassed 500,000 YouVersion plan subscriptions! At the time of penning this post, we have 127 plans in 44 languages and 513,871subscriptions.

This fruit, how did it happen? Prayer? Planning? Team effort? While these aspects contributed to the overall trajectory, God is THE answer. He had plans.

One beauty of being in the present is viewing the whole of where and how we traveled to this point. We can begin to understand what God placed in our lives to learn, why He closed some doors and opened others. He provided opportunities and experiences for our team to learn, to develop, and to prepare for this stage. 

We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9, NLT).

Above all, God’s timing is impeccable. Our partnership with YouVersion began and our first plans launched on the app while the world shut down. Neighborhood Bible studies that met in person since 1989 and beyond, could not gather in person. God knew this tool would be needed for such a time as this. 

We continue to rejoice at glimpses of God at work. We are in awe of how He places us where and when He wants us to be to further His plans. While we celebrate this visual reminder of His hands with over 500,000 subscriptions, this number is merely one thread in a much bigger story.
