On The Other Side Of The World

“(Jesus) told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” Luke 10:2

If Neighbor Bible Studies had an anthem song this would be it. We pray every day for God to raise up laborers for the harvest. It’s what Jesus asks us to do.

Meet Sandra: an answer to this prayer.

Sandra lives on the other side of the world! Sandra met NBS2GO staff member Linda during a prayer conference where she was drawn to the display of simple Bible studies available in so many languages. Sandra is on staff with Cru in Hong Kong. She quickly began using the LIGHT Bible Study to encourage the students she serves to study scripture on their own. She says they simply “cannot get enough” and want to study much longer than the time they have together! 

Sandra is also trusting God to reach her very own family. Though serving in Hong Kong, she is originally from India and longs to see her grandmother place her faith in Jesus. After noticing that we did not have any materials in Malayalam, her grandmother’s heart language, she asked Linda if she could help facilitate the first translation. Her eagerness led to the LIGHT Bible Study being diligently translated by local Malayalam speakers. What an incredible example of an awakened heart going into the harvest fields!
