From Seeds to a Global Harvest: Celebrating 15 Years of NBS2GO
Every apple has four to six seeds, but only God knows how many bushels of fruit will grow from each seed. That truth mirrors the story of Neighbor Bible Studies 2 GO (NBS2GO)—a movement that began with one seed planted in the heart of our founder, Debbie McGoldrick.
At age nine, while memorizing Revelation 3:20, Debbie asked Jesus to come into her life. Just weeks later, she asked her dad to remove the screen from her bedroom window so she could share Bible stories—using dolls and stuffed animals—with the children in her neighborhood. Even then, God was nurturing in her a passion to reach those around her with His Word.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Revelation 3:20
For more than three decades, Debbie McGoldrick faithfully led a neighborhood Bible study—while also equipping others to begin studies of their own. Through workshops, home gatherings, and personal encouragement, she witnessed a growing movement of women eager to reach their neighbors with God’s Word. Then, after a casual walk on the beach in May 2010, God ignited that passion into a fresh, unmistakable vision. He was calling her not just to continue—but to expand this ministry beyond neighborhoods to the nations.
God immediately led Debbie to gather a small leadership team and invited them to spend 24 hours in prayer, fasting, and listening. From that time of seeking God, a clear direction emerged: create a website with simple, downloadable resources to equip people around the world to begin, grow, and multiply Bible studies with those around them.
That vision took root, began to flourish and NBS2GO was launched:
