New LENT Bible Studies Available
“Behold, the Lamb of God”
“The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.’” John 1:29. These words of John the Baptist hold incredible weight and beauty as they reflect on the Old Testament scriptures referring to the sacrifices God’s people had to make to atone for their sins, and even the prophetic words Isaiah used when speaking about the Messiah. John the Baptist refers to the very purpose for which Jesus was sent!
Our Neighbor Bible Studies (NBS2GO) team continues to daily pray Luke 10:2, asking God to raise up laborers to be sent out into the harvest! He already promises that the harvest is plenty, but He does say the laborers are few and so therefore we are to pray. Many of those laborers He so graciously connects us with are believers who are eager to translate the simple Bible studies that we offer into the heart languages of people around the world!
These translated Bible studies are distributed a number of different ways, and one significant avenue is through our partnership with YouVersion; the world’s most downloaded Bible app. Last year alone God connected us with 56,000 people worldwide on this platform, and as we now approach the Lent season we anticipate all of the people who will encounter His Word. What a special and intentional time we have to delight in God and in His Word.
As the introduction to the NBS2GO Lent Bible Study says, “Come and witness the last week of Jesus’ life. Notice the accusers, the innocent bystanders, and the hopeful followers. During these seven weeks, imagine yourself in Jesus’ final conversations. Watch the soldiers fall to the ground when He declares, “I am He.” Hear the crowd shouting, “Crucify Him!” Feel the emotion at the tomb the morning Jesus rose from the grave.”
